Ronnie Dean Allen, 74, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
He was born in Louisville, KY on August 18, 1944, to the late Gertrude Elizabeth Allen and Orlando Hughes.
Ronnie was an Alumni of Lincoln Institute. He was an inactive member of The Meridian Sun and a retiree of Bowling Roofing Company. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, and spending time with his family.
Ronnie is survived by four children, Theodric "Big Daddy" Allen, Reginald "Reggie" (Andrea) Allen (born to Terrie Allen), Jamie and Ashley Allen (born to Janet Allen); siblings, Donna Carr, Sarah "Dibbie" Carr and Valerie Carr; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 4 aunts; 1 uncle and special friends, Shirley Carter and Terrie Allen and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Elizabeth Allen; father, Orlando Hughes; brother, John "Manny" Carr and sisters, Alice Carr and Bonita Carr.
A gathering will be Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Genesis United Methodist Church, 300 N. 42nd Street, Louisville, KY 40212, from 2pm-4pm.
