He was born on October 8, 1949, to the late William and Miona (Adams) Sumner.
Ronnal is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Jean Sumner; children, Eddie (Vicki) Sumner and Ronnal (Whitney) Sumner, Jr.; grandchildren, Cory Sumner, Adam Sumner, Sarah Sumner, Kelsey Sumner, Courtney Sumner, Payton Sumner, Mason Sumner, Landon Sumner, and Carter Sumner; and siblings, Charles Sumner, Bobby Sumner, Peggy Bruce, and Janie Appel.
Cremation was chosen following Ronnal's wishes.
