Rondell Gene "Ron" Claywell, 74, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013. Ron was an Army veteran serving in Germany. He enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting with his neighbors. Ron always made Christmas fun because he always brought scatch-off lottery tickets to everyone in the family and there always was a winner. He also enjoyed going to the park.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elva Easter Claywell; a sister, Robbie Frances; and brothers, Donald and Hiram Claywell.
Ron is survived by his sisters, Irene (Ronnie) Kutter and Eloise (William) Veach, Sr.; brothers, E.J. Claywell, Nyman (Betty) Claywell and Gary (Polly) Claywell and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22, from 1pm-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). Ron's funeral service will be Wednesday, October 23, at 10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, 2501 N. Dixie Blvd., Radcliff, Ky at 12:00pm.
