Rondal Paul Byrd, 72, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on July 7, 2014.
Rondal was born on March 31, 1942 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late George Clyde Byrd and Elizabeth (Coomer) Byrd Measles. Rondal is also preceded in death by his former wife, Sonja Byrd; siblings, Carlus Wayne Byrd, Barbara Lindsey, and Carol Harvey.
He is survived by his son, Russell Allen Byrd (Ann); sisters, Martha Wagner (Don), Sue Rhea, Pamela Ballew; brother, Roger Byrd; granddaughter, Amber Byrd; his stepfather and best friend, Hershel Measles; many nieces and nephews; and close friend, Jackie Hetz.
His visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service is at 11 AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.
