Ronald Gene Whitlock

Ronald Gene "RW" Whitlock, 83, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. RW was a member of the Salem Moose Lodge #2380 and was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan.

He was born on March 25, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Julius Whitlock and Mildred (Salesman) Whitlock. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Salesman, Billy Ray Whitlock, and Lee Roy Whitlock; and sisters, Peggy Garrett, Drema Martin, and Patsy Hopewell.

RW is survived by his sister, Deborah Ramos; sister, Dorothy (Steve) Meschede; brother, Adrian (Marie) Whitlock; best friends, Tom and Thyra Rister; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with cremation to follow in accordance with RW's wishes.
