Ronald Blake Watkins

Ronald Blake Watkins, 84, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2024. Ron was a proud member of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He was an avid reader and enjoyed racquetball, handball, being outdoors, yard work, gardening, and most importantly spending time with family.

He was born on August 8, 1939 in Sidney, Ohio to the late Cecil and Ethel (Blake) Watkins. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 1st wife, Judith Watkins; and two sons, Alan Watkins and Daniel Coughran.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Carol (Bonini) Watkins; children, Gale (Dan) Cooke, Brian Watkins, Amy (Randy) Todd, and Gino (Amber) Coughran; grandchildren, Amanda Watkins, Chad (Shelby) Watkins, Jaclynn Todd, Nathan Todd, Haley Todd, Connor (Jermani) Coughran, Cole Coughran, Chloe Coughran, Brooklyn Coughran, Brandon Progrevvs, Arizona Alford, Taelyn Alford, Jackson Alford, and Randi Leigh Willett; great grandchildren, Tyler Olexa, Ashton Myers, Oliver Myers, Avery Watkins, Gianna Coughran, Alexxius John, and Wyatt John; brother, Thomas (Polly) Watkins; and many extended family members.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky .
