Ronald Lee Tomes, 64, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022. He was an avid fisherman and a longtime Mason. Ronald enjoyed watching NASCAR and college basketball and in his younger years had been a bowler.
He was born on October 22, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Oleta (Haycraft) Tomes and the late Hayward Tomes. In addition to his father, Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Diane (Reed) Tomes; and brothers, Neal, Daryl, and Donald Tomes.
In addition to his mother, Ronald is survived by his sons, Ronald J. Tomes (Megan) and Eugene Tomes (Marla); brothers, Howard (Vickie) and Danny Tomes; and many nieces and nephews.
A reception of family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with cremation to follow.
