Ronald Joseph Schroeder

Ronald Joseph "Ronnie" Schroeder, 77, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Ronnie was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and the Floyds Knobs American Legion. He enjoyed farming, playing Euchre, watching NASCAR and IU Basketball, and was the 2017-2018 School Bus Driver of the Year for the New Albany Floyd County School Corporation.

He was born on December 6, 1941, in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, to the late William and Emma (Sprigler) Schroeder. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Edward Bennett.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Kathy L.(Auls) Schroeder; sons, Harold Schroeder and Daren (Brandice Sacheck) Schroeder; siblings, John (Patsy) Schroeder, Sheila Bennett, and William Schroeder.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family requests that contributions in Ronnie's memory be made to St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
