Ronald L. Jeffers

Jeffers, Ronald Lynn, age 69 passed on December 15, 2013 with his family at his side. He was born in Iola, Kansas and resided in Wichita and Kechi, Kansas before moving to Louisville in 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents James M. and W. Jeanne (Chambers) Jeffers of Humboldt, Kansas and sister Rebecca Hottenstein of Chanute, Kansas.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanette (Jesseph) Jeffers, daughter Shawn (Jeffers) Scott, grand-daughters Sydney Scott and Peyton Scott of Louisville. His living siblings are James (Jim) Scott and Brenda Willard of Chanute Kansas; Barbara Jeffers, Wewoka, Oklahoma; and Scott and wife Kimberly Jeffers of Tulsa, OK. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was a retired head meat cutter. He will be remembered for his oil paintings, woodworking/remodeling talents, enjoyment of the out-of-doors and storytelling ability. He will be sorely missed.

A private ceremony will be held. Per his request, he will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hosparus would be appreciated.
