Ronald W. "Ron" Knasel, 46, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011. He was the manager at Bottles Unlimited in New Albany, Indiana. Ron was a member of the Elks Lodge #270 in New Albany and St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs.
Ron was born on June 12, 1964 to Rowena M. (Brown) Knasel and the late Lawrence J. Knasel, Jr.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his fiancée, Lora Smith; son, Brandon Faulkenburg (Allyson Bezy) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; daughters, Courtney Smith of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, Tana Brown and her companion, John, of Nashville, Tennessee; brothers, Don Knasel and his wife, Shirley, of Colorado, John Knasel and his wife, Sharon, of Shelbyville, Kentucky; grandchild, Cheyenne Elkins, and awaiting the birth of his second grandchild; and his grandmother, Virgie Troncin of Floyds Knobs.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday, March 3, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (3033 Martin Road, Floyds Knobs, IN) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Contributions in Ron's memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
