Ronald Thurman Highfill

Ronald Thurman Highfill, 72, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024. He was a longtime volunteer and instructor for the Greenville Township Fire Department. Ronnie worked for Ridgeway Distributors and later retired from Kentuckiana Mack Sales. He was a member of the Silver Creek Beagle Club and the Floyd County Conservation Club.

He was born on November 22, 1951 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Thurman and Lois (Goldman) Highfill. Ronnie is survived by his sister, Barbara Cox (Bob); nieces, Kelly Coots, Krista Darst (Jason); and great-nieces and nephews who he adored, Samuel Coots, Madelyn Darst, Alex Coots and Jacob Darst.

Ronnie's wish was to be cremated and a reception of family and friends will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
