Powell Ronald Edwin "Ron", 70, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on January 8, 2016. He retired from Ford Motor Company.
Ron was born on December 19, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Thomas and Mary Powell. He was also preceded in death by his son, Thomas Michael Drew Powell and brother, Kenneth Powell.
He is survived by his wife, Sissy Powell; children, Veronica Lynn Harris, Rhonda Janelle Powell, Charles Edwin Powell, and Patricia Sue Pierce; two brothers, Edward Darnell, Virgil Darnell and sister-in-law, Darlene Powell; and many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). A funeral service to honor the life of Ron will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
In loving memory of Ronald memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
