Ronald E."Ron" Renn

Ronald E. Renn, 66, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of dedicated service and was a United States Air Force veteran. Ron was a member of the American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post #28. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, visiting Churchill Downs, and most of all spending time with his family. Ron was an avid Indiana Hoosiers, Cincinnati Reds, and New York Yankees fan. He will be deeply missed.

Ron was born on June 4, 1946 in New Albany to the late Edwin and Lavern (Sparks) Renn. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carol Humphrey. Ron is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy (Seiler) Renn; sons, Anthony Renn (Mandy), Todd Renn (Shannon); siblings, Frank Renn (Janice), Gary Renn (Carolyn), Sandy Hoke; granddaughters, Kylie and Katelyn Renn.

Cremation was chosen following Ron's wishes. A Celebration of his Life will take place on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
