Ronald E. Crimm

Ronald E. Crimm , 87, of Middletown, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022.

He was born on March 11, 1935 in West Lawn, Pennsylvania to Ralph and Jean (Whitwam) Crimm. Ron was a graduate of Shippensburg State Teachers College (now University). Ron met his beloved wife, Phyllis, while attending Shippensburg. They married on August 23, 1958. He taught business education at Penncrest High School in Pennsylvania prior to entering the insurance business, where he remained until retirement. Ron also served as a Republican Kentucky State Legislator for 20 years. He was a past president of the Jefferson County Republican Party. Ron was a long time member of Middletown United Methodist Church, where he participated in the Methodist Men and taught Sunday School. Ron enjoyed a life filled with service to his church, community, and state, as well as being with family and traveling.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jane Crimm; parents, Ralph Crimm, Sr. and Jean Crimm; and brother, Ralph Crimm, Jr.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Dale) Anderson; son, Scott (Laurel) Crimm; grandchildren, Peter (Sue) Anderson, Bethany (Tobey) Anderson-Griffin, Timothy (Kellie) Anderson, Ronald Brent (Katherine) Crimm, Kathryn (Daniel) Crimm-King; great-grandchildren, Anderson, Nora, Anna, Mack, Teddy, Julia, Ryder, Lincoln, Tancy, and Victoria.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 1, 2022 and 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Middletown United Methodist Church (11902 Old Shelbyville Road). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday at the church with private burial to follow at Middletown Historical Cemetery.
