Ronald Brummette

Ronald (Ron) J. Brummette, born on June 2, 1931, aged 83, passed away at Springhurst Pines Health and Rehab, in Louisville, Ky, on Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.

Ron was the owner of R.J. Brummette Construction Company. He was an avid fisherman. He also loved camping, hunting and star gazing. He had an affinity for computers and gadgets. Ron was actively involved in learning about his family's genealogy, as well as making sure that his annual family reunion was attended by all. He was so proud of his family. He was also an enthusiastic photographer. Ron was a member of Beargrass Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father William J. and Nell Brummette, his brother Bill Brummette, and his beloved daughter Susan Lea McCarty. He is survived by his wife of 65 years and the love of his life, Mary Ann; His sister Donna Petty; His devoted children Rebecca Powell, Judy Elder Wooley (Ronnie), Jay Brummette (Linda) and family friend Jeanie Burgan; His loving grandchildren Jennifer, Erica, Alan, Ryan, Krista and Melissa.

There will be a private viewing for the immediate family.

In lieu of flowers memorial expressions can be made to Springhurst Pines Health and Rehab, 3101 N. Hurstbourne Parkway, Louisville, Ky 40241, as the caring staff was so loving, attentive and kind to Ron and his family during his final days.
