Rollin Hanley Phillips, Sr., 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Rollin was a loving and devoted husband, father and brother. Rollin had a strong faith in the Lord and kept his family grounded in their faith and Christianity. Rollin proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a true patriot and was fondly known as "Navy" in the community. Rollin was kind and generous who had a heart of gold and a contagious smile that could light up a room. He was a true jokester and enjoyed making others laugh. Rollin enjoyed playing pool and spending time a Cracker Barrel during his frequent visits. He was an avid John Wayne fan and loved watching classic Western movies. Rollin will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He was born on April 20, 1950 in Campbellsville, Kentucky to Hugh and Rebecca (Wilson) Phillips. He is preceded in death by his father, Hugh Leonard Phillips; mother, Rebecca Phillips; wife, Cynthia Mae Phillips; and brothers, Bobby Phillips, Wayne Phillips and William "Bill" Phillips.
Rollin is survived by his loving family, son, Rollin Phillips, Jr.; step-sons, Carl Doolin, Joseph (Brittany) Doolin; sister, Brenda (Burt) Siegrist; nieces, Mary Lois Garr; great-nieces, Mary Lynn Garr, Rebecca (Criss) Chancellor, Rachel Kays; grandchildren, Faith and Joseph "J.J."; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
