Rollie L. Carter, Jr.

Rollie L Carter, Jr., age 81 of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022. He was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on July 22 to Rollie Carter Sr and Pearline Davis Carter. He was the youngest of 10 children. Rollie might have been his name, but everyone know him by "Jr". He accepted Christ at a very young age. He was a deacon at Forest Baptist for over 10 years. He spent many years dedicating his life to Christ.

During their 46 years of marriage together Faye and Rollie shared three children: Andrea Marie, Steven Lamont, and Eric LaMarc. Steven Lamont passed away at three months old. Rollie also had a daughter Cecelia (Tony) and a son Henry (Karen). Rollie was proceeded in death after his brother RV Carter, his three sisters Nora Lee Forest, Claudia Mae Cates, Dorothy Christine Reed, and three siblings who passed as children. Rollie proceeded in death by two grandchildren DaQuane Drain and Deandre Martez White.

Rollie is survived by one brother, Marion Carter; and two sisters, Maudrine Quarles and Zenita Lynn Stephens. He is survived by five grandchildren, Andrae' Blackburn, Kayla Carter, Brooke Drain, Amyia Jenkins, and Jovani Carter. He also had a host of other relatives and friends who loved him.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 29th, 2022 at Forest Baptist Church (4500 Petersburg Rd). Mr. Carter's funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the church with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery (3800 Shanks Lane).
