Roger Lee Simpson, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Roger graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1970 and served in the Army National Guard from 1970 - 1976. He started at Kentucky Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance in 1972, retiring as Executive Vice President and CEO in 2009. Roger was a devoted teacher and deacon at Poplar Level Baptist Church.

He was born on March 2, 1947 in Shelbyville, Kentucky to the late Robert L. and Millie Mae Simpson. Roger is also preceded in death by two of his brothers, Robert William and Larry Wayne.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Vicky; children, Larry (Paige), Christi, and Steven; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Loren, Tyler, Jayden, Noah, and Zachary; brother, Jimmy (Myrna); and a host of extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive) and from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday April 2, 2024 at Poplar Level Baptist Church (14302 Poplar Lane). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the church.

The family requests that contributions in Roger's memory be made to Poplar Level Baptist Church.
