Roger Harold Shuttleworth, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at his residence. Roger was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and brother. He loved watching old Korean movies, fishing, golfing, and playing poker. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Roger proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines, and loved to share stories of his travels and adventures in the service. After his years in the service, Roger continued his travels as a truck driver. Roger will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He was born on November 4, 1939 in Troy, Ohio to the late Russell and Charlene (Orhood) Shuttleworth. He is preceded in death by his father, Russell Shuttleworth; and mother, Charlene Voge.
Roger is survived by his loving family, children, Curtis (Tina) Shuttleworth, Cathy Shuttleworth, Craig Allen Shuttleworth, and Clinton Shuttleworth; brothers, Steve Stockslager, and Jimmy Stockslager; sisters, Carolyn Lawson and Slyvia Schaeffer; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren; nephews, Jeff Lawson, Scott Lawson and Brian Lawson as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.
