Roger Dale Moss Sr.

Roger Dale Moss Sr., 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024. A devoted dad, papaw, brother, uncle and friend, Roger dedicated his life to Christ and was a long-time member of Valley Chapel of Prayer. In his final days, he expressed a deep desire for forgiveness, compassion, reflecting the warmth he shared with those around him.

Born on November 19, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of Benard Moss and Irene (Kidwell) Sego. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Benard Moss; his mother, Irene Sego; and his brother, Doug Sego.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his sons, Roger Dale Moss Jr. and Elzie Lee (Kim) Moss; his ex-wife, Sharon (John) Walker; and his sister, Sandy Holland. He is cherished by his grandchildren, James (Lisa) Moss and Misty (Michael) Broadbent; his great-grandchildren, Drayton Broadbent, Aubrey Milliner, Emma Moss, and Asher Broadbent; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Roger had a passion for working on cars, shooting guns, drinking coffee, and listening to his audio Bible. He will truly be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the same location, with burial to follow at Penn Run Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
