Roger Lynn Sanders, 53, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. He was an avid Nascar fan and also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.
Roger was born on February 25, 1961 in Glasgow, Kentucky to Joyce E. (Marcum) Groce and the late Roger Leon Sanders. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Steven Sanders.
Along with his mother, Roger is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marsha (Browner) Sanders; children, Sharon Sanders, Jeremy Marple; step-children, Jeremy Rich, Lindsey Rich; siblings, Kimberly Sanders, Frances Derringer, Barbara Keen (Mark); step-father, Caleb Groce; and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 9 AM. His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, Kentucky.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
