Roger Lewis, 64, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014. He retired from General Electric after 35 years of service and was a member of the National Rifle Association. Roger was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his friends.
He was born on April 9, 1950 in Borden to the late Morton and Muriel (Smith) Lewis. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Stefan Lewis. Roger is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathie (Yochem) Lewis; sons, David Lewis (Amy), Joe Lewis (Julie); grandchildren, Sean, Breanna, Whitney, Shelby, Devon, Drew, Katie; and great-granddaughter, Aubrie.
Cremation was chosen following Roger's wishes. Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. Memorial contributions may be made to Borden Community Helping Hands in c/o New Washington State Bank (430 W. Water Street, Borden, IN 47106).
