Roger Dale Gibson

Roger Dale Gibson, 67, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022. He had worked at Ramsey Popcorn and Hitachi Cable and was a member of High Caliber Sportsman Club.

He was born on August 31, 1954, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, to Clayton and Mildred (Tyree) Gibson. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his siblings, Darrel Gibson and Ramona Striegel Phelps.

Roger is survived by his partner, Lou Ann Fess-Neeley; children, Alisha Ingram, Nate Grinar, Wayne Grinar, and Candace Downs; sister, Kathy Bezy (Bob) and family and Rhonda Parks and family; grandchildren, Z, Caden, Mo, Alden, Amelia, Lily, Cammron, Cole, Kaiden, Abby, Ella, and Kelton; nephews, Jamie, Jason, and Brian Gibson; niece, Carla Mason and family; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 10:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery.
