Rodney Wayne Sexton

Rodney Wayne Sexton, 54, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. Rodney enjoyed putting together model cars, jamming to heavy metal music, riding his Harley-Davidson, and being with his dog. He was a tattoo enthusiast, an avid artist, and will be remembered as the family comedian. Of all his pastimes, his favorite was being a proud father and grandfather.

He was born on October 21, 1966, in New Albany, Indiana, to Brenda (Wilson) McMillen and the late Robert Sexton. Along with his father, Rodney is preceded in death by his stepfather, Douglas McMillen.

Along with his mother, Rodney is survived by his children, Brandon Hettinger, Linda Jo Hublard, and Nicholas Miller; 5 grandchildren; stepmother, Darlene Sexton; siblings, Ronald Sexton, Deborah Boaz, Edward Sexton, Betty (Jose) Yenderrozos, Tina Sexton, Paul Sexton, Amanda Lewis, Christopher McMillen, Robin Herrick, Anthony Sexton and Doug Devine; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

The family requests that contributions in Rodney's memory be made to the family for help with final expenses in care of Brenda McMillen.
