Robin Bowen, 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023. She was born on June 22, 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky to Robert and Mary (Everett) Moody. Robin graduated from Doss High School in 1981, and went on to receive her Medical Secretary Certificate at Louisville College of Medical and Dental Careers. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant for 30 years at Golden Living Center in St. Matthews. She received an award for Exceptional Service on several occasions throughout her time working there. She was very well respected and admired by residents, and staff alike. She had a true calling to care and serve, and she had a tender heart for everyone.

Robin and Wendell met in Art class at Iroquois High School in 1979. Robin graduated from Doss High School in 1981. She left Louisville to train in the National Guard and also studied at Central State University in Wilberforce, OH. She returned to Louisville a short time later where the two were reacquainted and were married after a short courtship in 1983. From this union was born three daughters; Tracey, Stacey, and Gracey.

They learned about Greater Bethel Temple Apostolic Church from her mother, Mary Hobson, and have been faithful members since the 80's. Both were baptized in Jesus name and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. She was a greeter with the Hospitality Committee, and also served at various times with the Christian Woman's Auxiliary. She was faithful with attendance in all services including Sunday School and Bible Study. She loved to fellowship with the saints and had a shining smile. She especially loved the Blood Hymns during devotion such as "I know it was the Blood" and " Thank God for the Blood". She loved to sit by the altar and always carried her tambourine. No matter how bad she was feeling, she was a true worshiper and praiser!

Her hobbies included seek and finds, crossword puzzles, board games, telling jokes, and watching old western movies. Some of her favorite shows included The Waltons, Judge Judy, Perry Mason, The Twilight Zone, Svengoolie, and The Honeymooners. She loved interior designing and always changed her house several times. She enjoyed caring for her family, cooking, cleaning, and entertaining. She was a huge fan of Christmas movies, which she enjoyed all year long. She was always willing to extend a hand to help others. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. She was very gifted with counseling, giving encouragement, and praying with others on the phone. She loved spreading the good news of the Gospel. She enjoyed talking on the phone with old co-workers and friends. Her laughter was contagious!

She is preceded in death by her Mother, Mary L. Hobson, Siblings, Robert Hobson and Torrie Hobson.

Robin is survived by her loving Husband of 40 years, Wendell Lee Bowen; Daughters, Tracey Bowen, Stacey Bowen, and Gracey (Quenton) Allen; Grandchildren, Armani Boyd, Arreyon Boyd, Eninaja Allen, and Israel Allen; Father, Robert Moody; Siblings, Tony Hobson, Dwayne Hobson, Dwight Hobson, and Johnnie Shanks, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Greater Bethel Temple Apostolic Church, (834 S 3rd St ). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at Greater Bethel Temple Apostolic Church with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Robin's memory be made to Greater Bethel Temple Apostolic Building fund (834 S 3rd Street Louisville, KY 40203).
