Robin Allen

Robin Renee (Patrick) Allen, 45, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011. Robin was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. She was a long-time employee of Olon Industries, Inc. She played softball in her teen years and loved attending the Floyd Central girls' softball games. Robin was a great cook and an avid fan of Aerosmith music especially sung by Steven Tyler and "Dog, the Bounty Hunter" television show. She treasured her Friday night date nights with Stewart each week and will be especially missed by her canine companion, Abby.

Robin is survived by her husband of 24 years, Stewart Allen; children, Jenna and Nathan Allen; parents, Terry "Scrap" and Jonelle (Collings) Thompson; grandmothers, Mary Geraldine Thompson and Loretta Lardner.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, May 23, 2011 at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (3033 Martin Road, Floyds Knobs) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
