Roberta (Mayes) Stapp

Roberta "Bobbie" (Mayes) Stapp, 93, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany. She was a long-time resident of Silver Hills in New Albany and an active member of the Alpha Club. Bobbie enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Louis "Louie" Stapp, and collecting antiques.

She was born on November 14, 1917 to the late Herman and Ruby (Dedman) Mayes in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

Bobbie is survived by her brother, Robert "Bob" Mayes (Jean) of Florida; nieces and nephews, Earl Zion (Cathy), Michael "Mike" Mayes, Melinda Cook, Micky Towles, and Molly Beard.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
