Mrs. Roberta Logan "Mema" Bowling, age 71, slipped gently away after a long illness at Hurstbourne Care Center on November 21, 2010 in the presence of her loving family.
She was retired from KY Higher Education as a supervisor after 22 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, her flowers, making home improvements and most of all being with family and friends. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, concern for others and enduring love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Stanley and Evelyn Gray Logan. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, James E. Bowling; sons, Timothy Tallent (Laura) and Martin Bruce Tallent (Lisa); granddaughter, Kayla Tallent; brothers Gene Logan (Julia) and Ralph Logan (Gilda); sister Martha Little (Lacy) and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 2-8pm and Wednesday from 10 am with funeral ceremony to follow at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, KY. Graveside service will be held at the French-Logan family cemetery in Burkesville, KY. at 4:00 pm CST.
