April 28, 1966 — February 3, 2024

Robert Skinner, 57, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, after suffering an unexpected injury at his home.

Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Green Skinner; and father, James A. Skinner Jr.

Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Rebecca Rhodes Skinner; his daughter, Erica (Shawn) Skinner Wiseman; son, Robert (Andrea) Pierce Skinner; stepson, Ryan Michael Rhodes; grandchildren, Lane Edward Wiseman, Olivia Marie Wiseman, Hayden Pierce Skinner, Easton Charles Skinner, and Amelia Jean Skinner. He is also survived by brothers, James A. "Chip" (Lisa) Skinner, and Eric (Carol) Skinner; step brother, Evans M. Clements III; step sister, Ashley Clements MacLachlan; and nieces and nephews.

Rob grew up in Franklin, Tennessee, and was a graduate of Battle Ground Academy, class of 1985. He attended Texas Tech University, served in the United States Coast Guard, and recently retired from Federal Express. Rob approached life with a rousing passion for every endeavor and spontaneity in all undertakings. He kept life compelling for everyone who knew him. He was an avid traveler with his wife Becky and loved adventure in the outdoors.

Rob's life will be celebrated with a gathering from 2 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.
