Robert Douglas Rudy, Sr.

Robert Douglas "Bob" Rudy, Sr., 76, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Bob was a bus driver for A Kid's World in New Albany and loved his time with those kids. He also enjoyed going to auctions with his son and taking trips to the casino with his brother.

He was born on November 7, 1946, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late LeMerle and Helen (Schroeder) Rudy. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Michael Scott Rudy; and brother, Randy Rudy.

Bob is survived by his son, Robert Douglas Rudy, Jr.; daughter, Kristina (Sean) Pelkey; daughter, Erin Rudy; grandchildren, Whitley Hare, Jayden Hare, and Claire Rudy; great-grandson, Waylon; siblings, Bev McDonald, Steve Rudy, Tommy (Cindy) Rudy, MaryAnn (Sam) Conrad, Barbara Jean Richards, Dale (Bea) Rudy, Keith Rudy, Theresa (John) Worrall, Kathy Mayfield, Linda (Chris) Welch, Diane (Scott) Cecil, Pat (Kathy) Rudy, Carolyn (Eric) Craig, LouAnn (Donnie) Grant, John (Tammy) Rudy, and Laura (David) Roberson; his best friend, Teddy Rudy and her family; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Cremation will follow in accordance with Bob's wishes.
