Colonel Robert "Bob" W. Parrish, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Bob was a hard working individual who never stopped working and worked from the time he was 8 until he was 81 years of age. Bob was a Kentucky Colonel who was admired for his many hours of volunteer work. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a Corpsman. Bob was a member of the AMVETS and D.A.V. He was a recovering alcoholic and was proud that he went sober at the age of 55. He had a sense of humor and would love to get a laugh out of anyone who was around. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was born on August 29, 1939 in Frankfort, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Marie Parrish, Children, Nora Hiser, James Parrish, David Parrish, Randy Parrish, Roger Beard and Wanda Yeagle, Parents, Arthur Carl & Nora Violet Glover, Father, Preston Porter Parrish, and Brother, Wayne Parrish.
Robert is survived by his Children, Robert C. Parrish Sr., and Bruce (Rhonda) Parrish, Sister and Caretaker, Aleesa (Larry) Hudson. Robert also leaves behind to cherish his memory 20 Grandchildren and a host of Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial and Military Honors to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
Robert's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
