Robert Nix

Robert Allen "Bob" Nix, Sr., 66, passed away on Thursday morning, September 23, 2010. Bob worked over 35 years at United Technology in Jeffersonville, and was a former employee of Feather Brother's, Essex, and Royal Consumer Products. He was also a member of the Jeffersonville Masonic Lodge #340.

Bob was born on June 1, 1944 in Selvin, Indiana to the late Elvin G. and Eva A. (Woolsey) Nix.

He is survived by his children, Robert A. Nix, Jr. and his wife, Katrina of Depauw, Indiana, Marsha Wright and her husband, Charles of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Sherry Gaddie and her partner, Ed May, of Jeffersonville; brother, Joseph "Joe" Nix and his wife, Mary Ann, of Holland, Indiana, sister, Beverly Osborne and her partner, Sandy, of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Kevin Crawford, Jacklyn Gaddie, Payton Nix, and Josh Miller; great-grandchildren, Hayden Stepp and Devin S. Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 3 PM to 7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Memorial Service will take place at 7 PM that evening in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.
