Robert Eugene Newman

Robert Eugene Newman, 69, of Louisville, KY, passed away on October 31, 2023. Robert Faithfully served our Country for 20 years in the United States Navy. He was a Boiler Technician from 1973-1993, Chief Engineer 1979-1991, and Main Propulsion Maintenance School Instructor 1986-1989.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bobbie E. Newman and siblings, Donald Newman, Sr. and Melvin Newman, Aunt, Bernita Newman; Cousin, James Newman.
Robert leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 50 years, Linda Newman; daughters, Rebecca (Jeremy) Tharp and Linda (James) Woolbright; grandchildren, Thomas (Olivia) Goodwin, Brandon (Diana) Goodwin, Chelsea Newman, John Pollard, Skylar O'banion and James Woolbright and great-grandchildren, Chandler Goodwin and Arabella Goodwin.
Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 10am-1:30pm with a celebration of Robert's life beginning at 1:30pm.
Robert will be laid to rest at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
