Robert J. Newberry Sr. , 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024.
He was born on November 22, 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie Whitehouse and by his wife, Thelma Newberry. Bob is survived by his loving children, Robert J. Newberry, Jr., Glenn (Suzie) Newberry and Tim Newberry, grandchildren, Justin (Casey) Newberry, Shawn (Chasity) Newberry, Kristen Newberry, Lacie Newberry, Benjamin Newberry and Dakota Newberry, great grandchildren, Riley, Ayla, Tucker, Chase, Dallas, Kason and Stella.
Bob retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years. After retirement he enjoyed watching the UK Wildcats, running, going out to eat and going to the beach with his family.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 1st at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 2nd at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
