Robert G. Loveless, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 8, 2025, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 27, 1936, Robert lived a life filled with passion, adventure, and an unwavering commitment to those he cherished.
Robert was a man of the outdoors, finding joy in fishing, hunting, and spending quality time under the open sky. His love for tinkering and working on cars was only rivaled by his zest for travel, always eager to explore new places and create lasting memories. He found great pleasure in playing cards, often surrounded by family and friends where laughter and friendly competition were the order of the day.
He was particularly proud of his family, who were the cornerstone of his life. Robert leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Roxie Loveless, whose companionship was a source of strength and happiness in his life. He was the proud father of three daughters: Diana (Dan) Frank, Carol (Paul) Cunningham, and Lora (Les) Kepley, each of whom carries forward his legacy of kindness and determination.
As a grandfather, Robert was a figure of unwavering love and guidance. His grandchildren-Daniel (Athena), David, Dana (Brandon), Cody (Holly), Noah (Jennifer), Joshua, Elijah (Faith), and Josiah-filled his heart with immense pride and joy, each bringing a unique light into his life. The joys of being a great-grandfather to Lettie, Victoria, and Ember further enriched his days, creating a tapestry of familial bonds that he treasured deeply.
Robert's family was not only defined by direct relationships but also by the countless friendships and connections he cultivated over the years. He maintained close ties with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, ensuring that the love extended far beyond immediate family.
Robert is predeceased by his parents, Lorenzo and Roxie Loveless, and by ten brothers and sisters, with whom he shared memories that would never fade. Though they are no longer with him, their spirits live on in the stories told and the love shared within the family he so cherished.
As we remember Robert G. Loveless, let us hold dear the moments of joy, laughter, and love that he gifted each of us. His legacy will continue to inspire and nurture the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
It was Robert's wishes to be cremated with a celebration of life with his family at a later date.
