Robert Louis Hall, 85, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2014 at Hosparus Inpatient Unit.
He had a strong faith in God and loved to talk about the Bible.
He retired from American Air Filters after working there 30 years. He began his second career as a self employed contractor.
He took great pleasure in restoring antique and vintage furniture to its original beauty. He was a very talented wood craftsman.
During his life his hobbies and pleasures included baseball, camping, boating, water sports, fishing and golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian Tyson Hall; siblings, Albert Hall, Lucy Deschambault, Ruth Link, Mary Margaret Hall, James Hall and Kenneth Hall; as well as his wife of 57 years, Lucille Slayton Hall; son, Phillip Wayne Hall and a daughter, Anita W. Nevitt.
Robert is survived by his children, Ben (Theresa) Wilkins, Patricia (Claude) Reynolds, III, Elena Gayle Lile; his sister, Del Marie (Roger) Preston; brother, David Hall; grandchildren, John Nevitt, III, Anne Wilkins, Dawn Wilkins, Matthew Reynolds, and Joshua Lile and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2014, from 2pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). Funeral services will be Saturday, August 16, 2014, starting at 12:00pm at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, Kentucky.
