Robert J. Bonner Sr.

Robert J. Bonner Sr. age 88 passed away on November 6, 2013 at Veterans Hospital. He was born on November 25, 1924 in Bangor, Alabama to the late Floyd and Estelle Robinson Bonner. He is preceded in death by Helen Louise Bonner, his wife; Floyd and Estelle Bonner, his parents; Robert J. Bonner, Jr, his son; Clara Bonner, his sister; and Brandon Bonner, his grandson.

Robert was united in marriage to Helen Louise Berry on January 29, 1951. They were married for more than 61 years.
"Bobby" as he was called, was a member of First Baptist Church of Anchorage. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and was retired from L&N and Kincaid Trucking.

He truly loved building and repairing things and working outside in his "shed house". If you needed to have something repaired, just give it to him. This was something he took pride in.

Bobby was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters Patricia "Pat" Watson (Leonard), Margaret Pollett (Ron) and Barbara; sons, Ronald, Brian (Chris), James (Stephanie) and Anthony Bonner; 13 Grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday November 10, 2013 at First Baptist Church 11500 Lagrange Road Louisville,Ky from 5-8pm. Service will be Monday November 11, 2013 at 11am at the church. Burial will follow in Berrytown Cemetery.
