Robert Henry Fike, 91, died February 3, 2014, just two weeks from the passing of his beloved wife, Madge Kincer Fike, 89. He was born in Greenwood, Delaware and went on to be a veteran, having served in the Navy before beginning his career as a county extension agent in southeastern Kentucky. He later took an overseas position with AID for the state department. He was stationed in many countries before retiring to Morgantown, W.Va. and later to Louisville, Ky.
He is survived by his only son, David Lee Fike (Gwen) of Lexington, Ky, three grandchildren: Chris Fike (Stacy) of Phoenix, AZ, Laura Fike Bullock (Justin) of Louisville, Ky, and Shaun Fike of Lexington, Ky. He is also survived by a brother, Milton Fike, Buffalo, New York and a sister, Genevieve Baehr, Morgantown, W. Va.. He was preceeded in death by a brother, Ralph Fike, Palm Beach, FL. Joint memorial services will be Saturday, 1:00 pm in Louisville at St. Matthews Baptist Church on Grandview Ave. Private burial will be in Eglon, W.Va. just outside Morgantown, W. Va..
