Robert Emmett Goranflo

Robert E. Goranflo, age 76 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Bob was the previous owner of The Oakwood, formerly known as B&J Guns. Prior to that, he was a member of the Jefferson County Police Department, where he worked as a helicopter pilot (a true joy for him) for many years. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, R. Emmett and Faye (Hatchell) Goranflo.

Bob is survived by his sister, Karalee Goranflo; his children, Bryan (Lynn) Goranflo, Kimberly (Darron) Colwick and Diana Greenier (Jeff Peake); two bonus daughters, Savannah McFadden and Rona (Paul) Martins; 9 grandchildren, one bonus grandchild, 6 great grandchildren; and a multitude of close friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243 and from 9:30am to 11am on Wednesday, April 19th. A celebration of Bob's life will be 11am Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Middletown Cemetery.
