Robert E. "Bob" Wallis, 68, a true family man, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at his home.
Bob was born on July 31, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William H. and Dorothy A. (Morris) Wallis. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James R. Wallis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dolly (Schaftlein)Wallis; children, Kristy R. Shrewsbury (Joe), Deborah F. Brawner (Scott), Mark R. Wallis; step-son, Eric J. Smith; siblings, William L. Wallis (Alberta), Carol S. Remley (Charles), Gary A. Wallis; grandchildren, Kassie, Adam, Kendall, Caleb, and Tori.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Friday from noon to 2 PM. His Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus – the Hospice Community of Southern Indiana.
