Robert "Bob" Edward Duffy, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 23, 2024.
He was born on December 15, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Edward Lee Duffy and Mary Wehrle Duffy. Bob, a faithful member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, also taught 4th and 5th grade Sunday School at The Transfiguration of Our Lord Catholic Church for 25 years. Bob lived out his Christian faith with a life of generosity and kindness. He was a member of the first graduating class of Jesse Stuart High School and a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Bob worked as a Railroad Signaling Engineer. He enjoyed spending time in nature and studying history. Bob was an avid snow skier for over 30 years, skiing all over the world. He was a loving and devoted husband, brother, son, and uncle.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Jane Traylor.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sandy Duffy; sisters, Ann (Dann) Barnes and Frances (Michael) Oakley; brothers, William (Carol) Duffy, David (Jolene) Duffy, Michael (Alice) Duffy, James (Melissa) Duffy, and George (Lisa) Duffy; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Newcomer, East Louisville (235 Juneau Drive) and from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, March 1, 2024 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church (6500 St. Bernadette Ave, Prospect, KY). A Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday at the church with private burial to follow.
