Robert Royce Dreher

Robert Royce "Bob" Dreher, 89, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and member of American Legion Post 42. Bob retired after 38 years of service with Local Union 51 Heat and Frost Insulator. He was a former member of Graceland Baptist Church and a current member of Crossing Christian Church.

He was born on July 21, 1934 in Georgetown, Indiana to Walter and Mabel (Sharp) Dreher. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica Atchison; and siblings, Jimmy Dreher and Judy Bandy.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, Joyce (Watkins) Dreher; children, Rodman Dreher (Melinda), Elizabeth Lilly (Phil), Jason Dreher (Brandi); grandchildren, Katelin Davis (Tylan), Jakob Dreher, Lukas Dreher, Easton Dreher; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Georgia and Lillie.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Tuesday after 10:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to Hosparus - the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) or to Crossing Christian Church (9265 Hwy 150, Greenville, IN 47124).
