Robert Preston Carpenter

Robert "Bob" Carpenter, age 92 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Bob retired from General Electric after 35 years of service in September of 1988. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Madeline June Carpenter; his parents, Preston and Jessie Carpenter; and his granddaughter, Jennifer Gaw; sister, Jessie Lee Richardson; and brother, Ruby Ray Carpenter.

Bob is survived by his loving daughters, Debra Byerley (Robert), Kathryn Carpenter (Chuck) and Peggy Holsclaw; 3 grandsons, 1 great-grandson, 4 great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 4 to 8pm on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Bob's life will be held 11am Tuesday, February 13th at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, Kentucky.
