Robert "Bob" Birkemeier

Robert "Bob" Birkemeier, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Baptist Health of Louisville.
He was born on March 9, 1953 in Kenova, West Virginia to the late Robert, Sr. and Betty Birkemeier. Bob had a love and passion for music, and was a talented guitar player. He played with numerous local bands in the Louisville area. Bob and Karen were able to make many lifelong friendships through his love of music.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Karen Birkemeier; his daughter, Adrianne Hawkins; granddaughter, Gillian Hawkins; and numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). His Funeral Service will follow at 1 P.M. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville (4623 Preston Hwy).
