Ricky Lynn Harbolt

Ricky Lynn (Captain Ricky) Harbolt was born on September 6, 1956 and passed away on May 22, 2013. Captain Ricky was a caring, fun loving, free spirit who loved life and the river. Rick graduated from Ballard High School and attended Western Kentucky University, after which he started work on the river. Over the years, he earned his way up to certified River Boat Pilot and Captain Licenses, traveling the inland waterways of the United States. He was a proud member of the Woodsmen Motorcycle Club, a gifted writer of poetry and an accomplished musician. Above all he was a kind and generous friend, and always a gentleman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Henderson Harbolt; his father, Kenneth Harbolt; and his Beloved sister, Bonnie Mooser.

Ricky is survived by his brother, Jim Harbolt; loving nieces, Laura Harbolt, Lisa Poole, Lynn Wharton, Leigh Harbolt Phelps, Tina Mooser and Jennifer Mooser; and sister-in-law, Connie Corey.

A celebration of Captain Ricky's Life will be announced at a later date and time.
