Richard Wayne Sanders, Sr.
Mr. Richard Wayne Sanders, Sr. age 52 of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2011. He was a member of the Kentucky Striper Club, Jeffersontown Masonic Lodge 774 F&AM, the Louisville Elks Lodge #8, and formerly employed by Snap-on Tools. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of almost 10 years, Marilyn Wackenthaler Sanders; children, Richard Sanders, Jr., Bobbi Jo Sanders and Joshua Colt Sanders; mother, Isabelle McCrary Sanders; brother, Edward Leon Sanders (Janet), Phillip Sanders (Christie); sister, Dorothy Lanham (Stanley). Also surviving are three grandchildren and three nephews.
Funeral ceremony will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown with burial in Jeffersontown Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
