Richard E. Theobald

Richard E. "Rick" Theobald, 61, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. Rick was a hard-working man who enjoyed working in general, especially on anything that had wheels. He was a Commissioner for and received his PHD from the B.S.A. (Boy Scouts of America) where he was a faithful leader and member for many years. He was also a member of NHRA Drag Racing and the Back in Time Car Club. Rick will be remembered as a humble man of few words who had a big heart.

He was born on March 20, 1958, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to Eugenia (Murphy) and the late Richard Theobald. Along with his father, Rick is preceded in death by his grandson, Rowan Theobald.

Along with his mother, Rick is survived by his loving wife of almost 20 years, Stacy (Atwood) Theobald; children, Brittney Camp, Erik (Sarah) Camp, Ricky (Lauren) Theobald, Nickolas Theobald, and Jessica Masterson; 7 grandchildren; and 5 siblings.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Rick's memory be made to Green Valley Cancer Center.
