Richard Dewey Taylor

Richard Dewey Taylor, age 76 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. He was born on January 3, 1947 to the late Wilhelmina (Hellmann) Taylor and John T. Taylor. Richard graduated from Male High School where he played football. He was an outstanding volleyball player and an avid UK fan. Richard was loved by many and will be greatly missed by family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Kley and Ronnie, Johnny, Bill and Jimmy Taylor.

Richard is survived by the love of his life of 20 years, Judy Nesbit; daughters, Jessica Hill (Aaron) and Jennifer Taylor (Adrian Morton); bonus children, Jeffrey Nesbit, Becca Spalding (John) and Caitlin Nesbit (Trey Thomas); grandchildren, Kaden, Baylor, Channing, Gavin, Grayson, Nixon, Hudson and Houston; and sisters, Carol DiOrio (Victor) and Mary Ann Hayden; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, and also on Friday, May 19th from 9:00 am to 11 am. A celebration of Richard's life will be there at 11 am, followed by interment in St. Louis Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society in Richard's honor.
