Richard Arnold Smith, Sr.

Richard Arnold Smith Sr., 80, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023. Richard was a 1962 graduate of Charlton Pollard High School and a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a faithful member of Christ Gospel Church.
Richard was born on June 16, 1943 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Willie Smith and Palestine Walden Smith. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Smith; and siblings, Donald Smith Sr., Lynn Smith Sr., Maxine Smith-Roland, Jim Smith Sr. and Edward Smith.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard Smith Jr.; and daughter, Philissa Smith.
Richard will be laid to rest privately at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
