Richard T. Schott, 87, of Louisville passed away on October 21, 2022.
He graduated with honors from The University Louisville in 1977 and was an AVID Cards fan for all of his life. Richard retired from Naval Ordnance Station in Louisville after 33 years of service in 1994. He was also a proud Army Veteran. Richard was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels after his retirement for 15 years.
Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Schott; and his parents, William and Nancy Schott.
He is survived by his daughters, Heather Craven (John) and Laura Mikel (Larry); grandchildren, Savannah and Olivia Craven, and Brandon and Kaelyn Mikel; great grandchildren, Karoline, Barrett, and Noah.
His funeral will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive), the family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the service time. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
